How to open your farm

Follow the link to login or create your OFS account, where you can easily add a new event, or edit event details. 

If you change your mind, just get in touch with one of the team to cancel your event.

Once registered you will receive a handbook with more detailed information on how to safely open your farm. Some things to consider:

• Look at a map of your farm – what areas do you want people to access, and where do you want to avoid? Where will people park?
• Ticketing
• Health & Safety

Even for small events, it's a good idea to have helpers on the day so you have time to enjoy the experience.

• Who's going to help? Ask neigh­bour­ing farmers, young farm­ers, Scout Asso­ci­a­tion etc. for support
• Book your agron­o­mist, vet, local bee­keep­er and sup­pli­ers to help tell your farm­ing story

Our resource shop opens on 1^st March, where you can access promotional materials, as well as resources like directional arrows, activities, clothing etc. to help on the day. A lot of these resources are FREE if you register!

Double check that your event is visible on the Visit a Farm page, and spread the word on social media as well as locally in schools, shops and on the roadside.
