Event Description
You will meet the rare breed Devon and Cornwall Longwool and the Swiss Black Nose Valais sheep and our friendly chickens, ducks and geese
Learn about living off grid, low carbon footprint, harvesting rainwater and growing fruit, nuts and vegetables.
Visit our growing areas, where you can see how we produce food sustainably.
Have a go activities including spinning, weaving and rug making.
You will learn how to process fleece to make yarn for knitting, crochet or weaving; how to use a spinning wheel to spin yarn; how to loom weave with fleece and how to make a wet felted vegan rug from our own sheep fleeces.
There will be art and craft activities using natural products.
There's a guided tour of the farm and historical buildings included to explore the history of the clay drying pans on site.

About This Farm
Stack Field Farm is a small farm specialising in the breeding of rare breed sheep.
We have Devon and Cornwall Longwools that are on the RBST at risk register.
We have Swiss Valais Blacknose who are very friendly and the worlds cutest sheep!
Our aims are to live as sustainably as possible, growing our own food, harvesting rainwater and using solar power.
