Event Description
Please join us for Open Farm Sunday at the Benham Estate.
The event will be based at our main farmyard, and will feature:
Tractor and trailer rides (with optional self-guided walk through our beautiful water meadows)
Food and drink stalls (including eggs from our organic, free-range hens).
Machinery displays
Sheep shearing demonstrations
Meet the animals and learn about our poultry and cattle enterprises
Educational talks on the River Kennet, arable crops and conservation on the Estate
Learn about the Benham Estate - our history, what we produce and our future plans
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead, and unfortunately they will not be able to join us on the tractor and trailer rides.
Entry to this event is free but will require a pre-booked ticket - please book on to one of our arrival slots throughout the day so that we can allocate parking safely and effectively.
About This Farm
The Benham Estate is a 2200ha rural estate hosting a range of enterprises, including 900ha of arable crops, a 150 strong herd of store cattle, 950 head flock of North Country Mules, 30,000 organic, free range hens, as well as fishing and forestry enterprises.
