Whilst events were few­er and small­er than the norm, we’re thrilled that vis­i­tors had the unique oppor­tu­ni­ty to expe­ri­ence up close and per­son­al farm vis­its, and also allow­ing them to meet a farmer – and events had a huge pos­i­tive effect: 

• 95% of vis­i­tors say­ing they now appre­ci­ate more the work farm­ers do, and 
• 89% of vis­i­tors men­tion­ing they have a bet­ter under­stand­ing of what ​‘sus­tain­ably pro­duced food’ actu­al­ly means. 

These results and some fan­tas­tic quotes from host farm­ers and vis­i­tors, real­ly bring home the dif­fer­ence LOFS is mak­ing to con­nect­ing peo­ple with farm­ing. These take home mes­sages are what we strive to achieve, and its won­der­ful to hear such great feedback.

‘LEAF Online Farm Sun­day’ events saw over a quar­ter of a mil­lion peo­ple view our live vir­tu­al farm tours dur­ing the year, again offer­ing some bril­liant mes­sag­ing sur­round­ing sus­tain­abil­i­ty, the envi­ron­ment and cli­mate change.
