Step 1 Register your event
- It’s easy to do and FREE of charge
- Register here
- Once registered, you will receive your FREE Open Farm Sunday Handbook in the post
Step 2 Order your FREE resources
- To promote your event: posters, flyers, postcards and roadside banners
- To use on the day: name badges, directional arrows, information posters, activities and hand-outs for visitors
Step 3 Collaborate
- Book your agronomist, vet, local beekeeper and suppliers to help you tell your farming story
- Ask neighbouring farms, Young Farmers, Scout Association and other local organisations for support
Step 4 Get top tips on hosting an event
- Read your Host Farmer Handbook
- Read the case studies of experienced host farmers and get their top tips to help plan your event
- Listen to OFS Bitesize Webinars
- Speak to your OFS Regional Co-ordinator
Step 5 Plan your event
- To suit you and your farm
- Decide on the number of visitors you would like and plan accordingly – refer to the handbook for help
- Complete a risk assessment for the event
