LEAF Open Farm Sunday 2017 Sponsors announced - Leading names show support for British food and farming

The sponsor list for LEAF Open Farm Sunday 2017 is as strong as ever with leading names from the farming and food industries confirming support for this year’s annual event.

Organisers LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) report that multiple sponsors have continued their support, including six of the nation’s leading retailers: Asda, Co-op, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose.  In addition, the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, Arla Foods, BASF plc, Defra, Frontier Agriculture, LEAF Marque and the National Farmers Union are all confirmed as Principal Sponsors.

Following last year’s record-breaking success with over a quarter of a million visitors going out onto farm, the quality and extent of the sponsorship cements Open Farm Sunday’s position as farming’s annual open day and its place in the industry calendar.

As well as financial support, sponsors of LEAF Open Farm Sunday directly support farmers to host events and produce a range of resources for farmers to help tell the farming story.

Annabel Shackleton, LEAF’s Open Farm Sunday Manager, said: ‘Our thanks to all of this year’s sponsors, without whom Open Farm Sunday simply couldn’t happen. Their support is invaluable and we look forward to working with them ahead of 11th June.
